Many thanks to all who came out to the District Event at Craig Leach.
"The sun shines on the orienteers", as proved on Sunday!! (or maybe the green tent being there was our insurance of dry weather!!)
First reactions seemed to indicate that everyone enjoyed their courses and that is definitely the main thing. I did get a few construction criticisms as well, and will take these on board.
I thoroughly enjoyed the planning experience and I hope I'll be asked again. I'd definitely recommend the job to everyone. I'd like to think it will improve my orienteering; at least I'll know the Craig Leach area for the next event.
Many thanks to all those who volunteered to help. These events cannot happen without every one of you. Special thanks to those who took in controls; with 8 of you out there, it took no time at all. In fact all controls were in and we were on our way home by 3:30!!!
