2007 INVOC Club Handicap Championships - 28th August at West Guisachan Guisachan is difficult at the best of times and with the maps being 10 years old the vegetation has shot up and the tracks and paths are badly overgrown in most places and on a still evening in late August, Guisachan is not an ideal place. The 'wee beasties' got to us and these two factors probably explain the DNFs: can't think when face and hands are under attack. Only the insensitive oldies could cope with this menace, which is reflected in the results. Dear committee, please don't schedule the handicap on a late August evening again and next time, can we have a bit of wind please. Congratulations to Mike, Stewart and Ken and my commiserations to Jonathan and Amanda who were first in but who both ran past a checkpoint without punching. Finally thanks to Sheila and John Colls who checked the control points for me the weekend before returning to a warmer climate.
